'中国科技论文在线http://www.paper.edu.cnElectromechanicalCoupledForcedResponseof#ElectromagneticRailguns*5XULizhong,WUDewen(Schoolofmechanicalengineering,YanshanUniversity)Abstract:Therailgunsystemisanelectromechanicalcoupledsystem.Theelectromagneticfieldmaycauseanessentialchangeofthedynamicbehaviorsoftherailgunsystem.Basedontheelectromagnetictheory,theelectromechanicalcoupledforcedresponseequationfortherailgunisgiven.Usingit,the10forcedresponsesoftherailtotherunningelectromagneticforceareinvestigated.Besidesit,FEManalysispackage,ANSYS,isusedtosimulatetheforcedresponsesoftherailtotherunningelectromagneticload.Themaximumvibrationmagnitudeerrorbetweenthecalculativevaluesandthesimulatedonesissmallerthan8.5%.Itillustratesthecalculativeresults.Theresultscanbeusedindesignofthedynamicsperformanceforthedrivesystem.15Keywords:railgun;dynamics;forcedresponse;electromechanicalCoupled.0IntroductionFortherailgun,themuzzlevelocitiesupto2.5km/sformassesofseveralhundredgrams[1-3]havebeendemonstratedexperimentally.Therailgunincludestwoparallelcopperrailsacross20whichanarmaturemakeselectricalcontact(seeFig.1).Therailsarecopperstripsh×bandoflengthsL.Thedistancebetweenthetwocopperstripsisd.Alargecurrentpassesthroughtherailsandthearmature(projectile),andtheprojectilecurrentinteractswiththestrongmagneticfieldsgeneratedbytherailswhichproducesastrongforcetoacceleratethearmaturetogetherwiththeprojectilealongtherails.Meanwhile,amutuallyrepulsiveforceoccursbetweenthetworails.25Thedynamicbehavioroftherailgunisofgreatimportanceforthesystem’sperformance.Thefirstmodelfortherailgundynamicsistotaketherailasone-dimensionalbeamonanelastic[4]foundation.Thedynamicresponseoftherailguntothemovingmagneticexitationwas[5-6]investigated.Thedynamicdisplacementsoftherailundertherunningelectromagneticforce[7]forvariousaccelerationswerestudied.Thevibrationexperimentofarailgunwithdiscrete[8]30supportswasdone.Therailsofrectangularelectromagneticrailgunwassimplifiedasadouble[9]layerelasticfoundationbeam,andthedynamicresponseoftherailswasinvestigated.The[10]naturalfrequenciesandthevibrationmodesoftherailgunwereinvestigated.Therailgunsystemisanelectromechanicalcoupledsystem.Theelectromagneticfieldmaycauseanessentialchangeofthedynamicbehaviorsoftherailgunsystem.However,the35electromechanicalcoupledforcedresponsesoftherailguntotherunningelectromagneticloadhavenotbeenstudiedyet.Fig.1RailgunandcoordinatesystemFoundations:DoctoralResearchProgramFoundationofEducationMinistryofChina(Prioritydevelopmentareas,no.20131333130002)Briefauthorintroduction:XuLizhong(1962-),male,professor,coupleddynamics.E-mail:xlz@ysu.edu.cn-1-
